Title:
Installl crashes while "Running grub-install dummy"

Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
When trying to install kubuntu 13.04 from daily build dated
2013-03-03, the installer crashes while "Running grub-install dummy".
The installer exits to a terminal window, and everything freezes. I am
  installing to removable media (SDHC-card).

It is not possible to boot from the disk created by the installer.

The same thing happens when installing kubuntu 12.10.

I expected the installer to finish, and create a disk from which it is
  possible to boot.

I have attached a tarball of /var/log from the disk created by the
  installer.

Is this supposed to work at all?
