Title:
Camera photo taken by ubuqity is dim despite good quality preview

Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
This has been tested on Thinkpad W510 and 2nd gen VAIO-P using 12.10
  beta 1 ISO

  Expected result:

The picture saved by Ubiquity looks the same as it did in the preview
  window

  Actual result:

Ubiquity displayes a proper preview but takes dim picture with
  incorrect colors

  Description of the problem:

The ubiquity page that offers to take the users' photo displays a
bright, properly-lit preview. Once the 'take photo' button is pressed
the camera is turned off momentairly and back on again (as does the
LED next to the camera) - to take the picture (presumably). The
picture taken is very dim and has incorrect colors. It looks like the
preview window in the first second (or so), before the camera
  sensor/firmware adjusts the picture settings.
