Title:
apport won't report vanilla kernel oops

Status in apport package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: apport

apport won't report kernel oops that occur in vanilla kernels, eg
2.6.32-020632rc6-generic, instead reporting 'This is not a genuine
  Ubuntu package'.

That would be fine except that kerneloops seems to have been disabled
from reporting these bugs in order for apport to report them instead.

Since apport won't report the oops to launchpad, I think it should at
least run the old kerneloops so it can be reported directly to
  kerneloops.org.
