Title:
  At boot time, OS are displayed, but no way to select one

Status in grub2 package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: grub

  Hi.
  On sdb1 I have Ubuntu 9.10 32 bit upgraded from 9.04. This system is up to date (updated today as usual)
  On sda1, a newly added disk, I installed Ubuntu 9.10 64 bit, from a downloaded CD
  I could not "see" the 64 bit version when rebooting.
  I then discovered the problem of grub-legacy and grub2
  I upgraded the 32 bit version to grub 2
  I had the "error 15" problem, but solved it.

  Now, when I boot, I see the list of OS I could select, but I cannot
  choose one, because the first one is immediately selected by the
  system and I have no time to change it.

  Here below is my grub config:

  # If you change this file, run 'update-grub' afterwards to update
  # /boot/grub/grub.cfg.

  GRUB_DEFAULT=0
  #GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT=0
  GRUB_HIDDEN_TIMEOUT_QUIET=false
  GRUB_TIMEOUT=10
  GRUB_DISTRIBUTOR=`lsb_release -i -s 2> /dev/null || echo Debian`
  GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash"
  GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX=""

  # Uncomment to disable graphical terminal (grub-pc only)
  #GRUB_TERMINAL=console

  # The resolution used on graphical terminal
  # note that you can use only modes which your graphic card supports via VBE
  # you can see them in real GRUB with the command `vbeinfo'
  #GRUB_GFXMODE=640x480

  # Uncomment if you don't want GRUB to pass "root=UUID=xxx" parameter to Linux
  #GRUB_DISABLE_LINUX_UUID=true

  # Uncomment to disable generation of recovery mode menu entrys
  #GRUB_DISABLE_LINUX_RECOVERY="true"

  Thanks for your help
