Title:
Grub2 will not pick up a partition with both grubs
Status in grub2 package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Binary package hint: grub2
I discovered that if the Grub2 and Grub1 key words are both in the
/boot/grub/ directory, Grub2 ignores that partition. The key words are
menu.lst for Grub1. To get that partition to work with Grub2 I had to
remove menu.lst and then grub-update /dev/sda and it is there now.
This is on 10.04 fully updated.
