Title:
Grub2 does not distinguish kernels on second ubuntu installation

Status in grub2 package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: grub2

I've got a Karmic installation which I migrated to grub2. On a second
partition, I follow the current development release (lucid). Boot
configuration is managed by update-grub running under karmic.

My problem is that update-grub does not visually distinguish the
different kernels present on my lucid installation. It just lists
several lucid entries, without any indication of the kernel version. I
have to edit into all of them to be able to choose.

This is a regression from grub1, which listed all versions as I would
  expect.
