Title:
  Grub configuration breaks Bootloader configuration

Status in grub2 package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: grub2

Upon update of grub, the system will no longer boot.

During configuration, a debconf window pops up asking the user which
device to install to. It also recommends installing to every device if
the user is unsure which device to install to. But installing to every
device breaks the system and prevents the OS from loading on the next
  boot.
