Title:
  apport is difficult to use

Status in apport package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: apport

apport should take no arguments and allow you to nter a programme name
or select a package from a menu.

As it is it asks you to use -p which is deprecated.

For a new, novice or naive user it is very confusing. If I wish to
report a bug in firefox how would I do it? I would not be able to use
apport (or ubuntu-bug). There is quite a bit of knowledge required to
use apport which means that you are missing out on a huge amount of
feedback - all that would come from the vast majority of users now.
As well as amplifying the meme that Linux is only for experienced
Linux users, which means that when we all grow old and die there will
  be no Linux users left!
