Title:
[Natty] Grub no longer boots after upgrade nvraid
Status in grub2 package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
Binary package hint: grub2
After upgrading from Maverick Meerkat to Natty Narwhal, grub will no
longer boot to any of my partitions. I am using Ubuntu 64 bit.
I have managed to boot back into Ubuntu by replacing this line:
set root='(/dev/mapper/nvidia_bfhaeede,msdos5)'
with this one:
set root='(hd0,5)'
I thought maybe that grub would need to be updated, so I tried update-
grub once I managed to boot, but still faced the same problem when I
rebooted. I also tried reinstalling the grub and grub-common packages
through Synaptic.
Here is the result of fdisk -l
james at james-desktop:~$ sudo fdisk -l /dev/mapper/nvidia_bfhaeede

I will also attach grub.cfg. When I update grub, it is finding all the
operating systems, and they appear upon boot. They just won't boot
without editing at boot-time.
