Bug description:
  Upgraded a wubi install from 10.04.4 to 12.04. Got the above error
  during the install (as I reported in bug 984593). I think this
  error/bug is probably a false report since I am typing this from the
  upgraded install and it's running the 3.2.0-23 kernel.
