Title:
ubuntu-bug cannot report a problem: "urlopen error [Errno -2] Name or
  service not known"

Status in apport package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
Reporting bugs worked before. Now I've tried to report a bug about
metacity with the following CLI command:

  ubuntu-bug metacity

After a while (and after the summary of the information) I get a
  dialog box saying:

"Cannot connect to crash database, please check your Internet connection.
<urlopen error [Errno -2] Name or service not known>"

My internet connection is OK. Name server settings are OK, I can
resolve DNS names without problems, I can visit various web sites,
like LP now too, so I could report this here :) I have direct Internet
  connection, no proxy/firewall/whatever.
