  apport crashes on unknown package name

Status in apport package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Unfortunately, apport is itself buggy...

  1. It crashes on invokation with a non-existant pkg name: Try "$ ubuntu-bug ubuntu-bug" -> crash
  2. It's name does not match the command name - an average user would not be able to find out that ubuntu-bug's pkg name is 'apport'
  3. It does not automagically install sufficient debug packages for itself.  After installing dbg pkgs, the trace is still not useful, and when I click on "list of additional debug packages" it shows me debug pkgs are missing for '/usr/bin/python2.7' - but 'python2.7-dbg' is installed.

  Another bug, but in the package system: "dpkg --list '*notif*' cuts
  off long package names, making it difficult for average users to
  produce bug reports.  I suggest shortening the package names or fixing
  'dpkg', but the latter would mean it would differ from the Debian
  version.
