Title:
copy error during installation should suggest you verify Install CD
does not contain errors
Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
This is a suggestion to change the text of the error message that pops up during the install if "a copy error" happens.
The current error message makes a number of suggestions like cleaning the CD or getting a new harddrive.
It should also direct the user to go back to the beginning and verify
the integrity of the install CD.
(I'm a 1st time user and i spent a bunch of time messing with the
partitions and checking the checksums of the downloads and etc and in
the end the CD was just written with one error that caused the copy to
go bad during the install.
