Title:
restoring installed packages failed when crossgrading 32 bit to 64 bit

Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
As in bug #840937 I have no idea why, but when crossgrading 32 bit to
64 bit, restoring installed packages failed. Looking at
/var/log/apt/history.log shows more :i386 markers than I expected to
see, but I don't know if that is really a or the problem.
