  nm plugin crashed when using persistence and slow to provide wireless

Bug description:
  Testing a usb stick with persistence on quantal.  I booted one time
  and provided a password for my wireless network.  The second boot I
  went to get a cup of tea and came back to one dialog asking for my
  gnome-keyring password and another saying that the installer had
  crashed.
