Title:
Ubiquity crashes while attempting a fresh install of 14.04.01 from USB

Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
This is a duplicate of bug #1386935, but it was reproduced with the
14.04.01 installer, while creating it with the pendrivelinux.com's
installer under Windows. The similarity which I can see is that in
both cases I was using a live USB stick with the persistence
  partition.

However, since I don't see at the moment how to file it as such
without losing the attached data from Apport, I am going to file it
here. Merge them at your convenience, please.
