Title:
request for more user friendly progress feedback during network
  downloads

Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
During installation if 14.04 from a dvd i choose 'download updates' and download the extras for mp3 etc...
After many minutes in the same screeen i thougth that installation hunged. i tried from a virt console to watch
/var/log/syslog but not interested info found.

I tried again not selecting the aforementioned options and
installation procced to the next time.

That day internet connection on my school lab was little unstable so i
guess the low speed internet must caused tha hung.

In that case i'd like pleace a) a progress bar in that stage
displaying bytes downloaded of bytes to download and time remaining
and b) if time is big to have a frienldy suggestion for alts . eg:
from a full dvd to not need internet etc.
