Title:
Issue installing wifi if you have installed it in the live session
Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu:
Incomplete
Bug description:
On Mac using current amd64+mac
WORKING WAY:
If I install via the normal direct install or I install from the live session without installing the driver everythng works in the installed session.
BROKEN WAY:
1. Select Try Ubuntu
2. Wait for the live desktop to appear
3. Select Sytem Settings
4. Select Software and Updates
5. Click on the Additional Drivers tab
6. Select the Broadcom driver
7. This installs, Setup up wifi
8. Run an install
9. Eject the cd and reboot
10. In the desktop select the wifi
11. Note no connctions listed
12 Open System Settings
13. Open Software and Updates
14. Click on Additional Drivers
15. Select Broadcom (Not installable)
16. Select Sources add the cd
17. exit Software and Updates
18. This triggers an update
19. Reopen the Software and Updates
20. Try and install the driver again.
