  Before running do-release-upgrade, I ran apt-get update && apt-get
  upgrade, but nothing needed updating.  I attempted to remove
  xscreensaver, but apt-get remove also wanted to remove lubuntu-
  desktop; this seemed like a bad idea, so I stopped that.
