Thank you for your bug report, the log has those errors
'SQUASHFS error: zlib decompression failed, data probably corrupt'

Which indicates the iso downloaded or the media used are corrupted, you
should do the media verification and probably download/write the image
again

** Changed in: ubiquity (Ubuntu)
       Status: New => Invalid

Title:
  installer crashes after choosing partition

Status in ubiquity package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  I already have windows installed on my laptop. I was simply adding
  ubuntu to it from a usb. the bios mode was UEFI and it warned that I
  might not be able to reboot in a different mode after my
  installation.I chose not to force it, then I went and chose
  installation alongside windows and set the partition size between
  windows and linux then after continuing, it crashes. i am using a usb
  and connected to the internet.
