I can't confirm this in ubiquity since Lubuntu's getting it. It's
probably casper or something about the configuration thereof.

I hear it's in Kubuntu, too. But apparently not Xubuntu.

Bug description:
  Using 20200227 ISO of Ubuntu MATE. Checked ISO and downloaded again.

  
  When starting install either on bare metal or on VM there is a dialogue that shows show:
  Checking disk 1 of 1

  This completes successfully then boots into the installer.
  Installations are able to proceed as normal.
