Title:
update-manager crashed with AttributeError in __init__(): module
'platform' has no attribute 'dist'
Status in update-manager package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
This happened just after installing ubuntu-restricted-extras via
terminal, though the specific package may be irrelevant. I also
checked for updates with update-manager, and that's when this error
appeared. I will also note the same error appeared on another one of
my focal systems. As for this system, I installed all available
updates via the terminal, and this error appeared again.
