1. install grub-efi to the ESP

+ grub-install --root-directory=/mnt --efi-directory=/mnt/boot/efi --force --target=x86_64-efi --skip-fs-probe --bootloader-id=ubuntu
Installing for x86_64-efi platform.
Installation finished. No error reported.
+ efibootmgr -v
