[Bug 1908021] Re: upgrade fails; it reported "Could not calculate the upgrade An unresolvable problem occurred while calculating the upgrade. If none of this applies, then please report this bug using the command 'ubuntu-bug ubuntu-release-upgrader-core' in a terminal. If you want to investigate this yourself the log files in '/var/log/dist-upgrade' will contain details about the upgrade. Specifically, look at 'main.log' and 'apt.log'." and previously incompatible ppa

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better.

Bug reporting is mostly about finding & fixing problems thus preventing
future users from hitting the same bug.

I suspect a Support site would be more appropriate, eg.
https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu. You can also find help with your
problem in the support forum of your local Ubuntu community
http://loco.ubuntu.com/ or asking at https://askubuntu.com or
https://ubuntuforums.org, or for more support options please look at

Status in ubuntu-release-upgrader package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
At first, it reported possible problem with PPA, so I searched for
information about the ppa's and found references to ppa-purge, which
is not an installable app, after I tried sudo apt-get install ppa-
purge or ppapurge. Then I found an article that showed up to get to
the ppa list in the software updater tool. I did so; it sill cannot
  calculate the upgrade.

I run about 6 different computers. This computer is a back up
computer, running Ubuntu 18:04 and I'm trying to upgrdae to 20:04.
On my main Linux computer, I'm running Pop!_OS. I have Ubuntu studio
on the computer I use for my radio show (www.baroqueandbeyondradio.com
or more simply bnbradio.com), and then have Microsuck Windows on a
desktop and laptop to connect to work via required VPN.

So, updating this computer is not urgent, but I would like to finish
  an update.
