Hi,

I have this same issue. I use Huawei Mate X Pro i5, 256 MB and two external SSD: Samsung Portable SSD5 500MB with Elementary OS 5.1.2 and Samsung SSD840 Evo 120 GB with Ubuntu 20.04 installed three days ago. Focal Fossa works fine I'm really impressed but Grub menu is not visible during the start. It's doesn't matter if everything goes well but in troubles advanced options are necessary. Hera starts properly and Grub menu is visible and I can use it.
I hope the problem will be solve soon.

Regards, swnw
