[Bug 1870601] [NEW] Software & Updates window stops responding after I click "prereleased updates"

Public bug reported:

Whenever I check the "Prerelease updates" checkbox in Software &
Updates, the app stops responding and Ubuntu asks me to force-quit, ever
single time.
