  End-Of-Life versions should receive a regular popup to warn them about
  the dangers of not upgrading to a supported version

Bug description:
  I am a member of the AskUbuntu StackExchange community and being
  around there for a while has made me realise just how many users are
  still running an End-Of-Life version of Ubuntu and don't realise that
  they need to upgrade to carry on receiving updates and support.

  So I think that a simple solution to this would be to make it so that the ubuntu-release-upgrader checks if the version of Ubuntu is still supported, and if it becomes unsupported at any point for it to start showing a popup warning the user of the dangers of staying with an EOL version and not upgrading to a supported one (the popup should show probably once in a couple of days or once a week so it's not too annoying, but the user has to take notice of it).
  Because not all users will even realise that their version has gnome EOL, though they may get notifications to upgrade to a supported release before it goes EOL, they basically get nothing after it's gone EOL. Though there are some notices from the Software Updater about this, there really needs to be a much bigger more colourful notice which is regularly displayed.

  The notice should warn the user that their version has gone EOL and will thus no longer receive any updates including security updates and also will not receive any support until the user upgrades to a supported version (it should give a list of supported versions or at least a link to a web page where they are listed). The notice should be big a fill most of the screen, or at least a reasonable amount in the middle, it should give the user 3 options: A close button, an option to upgrade, and a tick-box labelled something along the lines of "I understand the risks, do not show this message again".
  The notice should be a big scary warning, what I mean by that is it should have some sort of red band or something with a big exclamation mark warning symbol or something similar which will mean the user takes notice the popup and doesn't just close it thinking it is something annoying but is more likely to read it and take notice of it.

  I really have seen a huge amount of people who have no idea about the
  fact that their version has gone EOL and the dangers of it so I think
  that a big noticeable warning notice would be a good idea. So that it
  is user friendly at the same time as being something that looks a bit
  scary that you should take notice of, rather than just the Software
  Updater having some text which says you should upgrade to continue
  receiving updates, because they may not understand what the real
  dangers are of them not upgrading.
