[Bug 1847047] Re: 19.10 Beta won't boot after grub

i am using gpt partitioned disk with legacy boot. This is happening
multiple times and each time i gave to do grub-install from live usb.
Its started to happen after upgrading to 19.10

Bug description:
  I installed Ubuntu 19.10 on a X1 carbon.

  The installation itself succeeded. Including a grub install.
  The boot process halts after selecting ubuntu in grub.

  An install of ubuntu 19.04 didn't ran into these problems.
