Title:
Trying to upgrade OS to latest LTS after purging PPAs
Status in ubuntu-release-upgrader package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
System Information:
Unbuntu 16.04 LTS 64 Bit
Using apt-cache policy pkgname gives me "N: Unable to locate package pkgname"
Going through the software update option I was informed that the LTS for version 18 of Ubuntu was now available so I went ahead to install this. First time around I was told some of my PPA's could be causing a problem so i purged these and tried again.
Expected behavior would be that the upgrade works with minimal user interaction
What actually happens is that I do not get past the second part of the upgrade and i get the message saying the upgrade could not be completed.
