Title:
Intermittent testsuite failure on (at least) amd64
Status in tar package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
Binary package hint: tar
tar occasionally fails the truncate test on (at least) amd64, as can
be seen in the ubuntu-autotest logs at
https://lists.ubuntu.com/archives/ubuntu-
autotest/2008-April/018799.html ... Note that a retry of this build
(on the same machine, in the same build environment) succeeded, so
reproducing this probably relies on performing several looping builds
(or looking at the test itself to determine why it might be racy or
time-of-day dependant)
I'm marking this as low priority, since it's easily worked around by
just reattempting the build, but it's still a bug, so should be filed
until proven fixed.
Note that this is *not* bug #25084, so please don't dupe it at such.
:)
