I did, instead of the alpha version I tried the beta (unsure which
beta), same result, but this time I managed to make it to the 'enter
your details' page, when it terminated with thew same error message,
which I really hope the bug-report contained.
I will trry again with another different iso I downloaded, just as a
you mentioned, but I'm 1 minus 1 for clues.

Installer crashes every time after select partion, what ever
partitions you select, or create.
Frus in a nutshell, never ever had a similar problem, since Hoary,
mind this is my first non HP laptop, price too good to refuse.
