[Bug 1820816] [NEW] With gcc flag -Werror programs are not compiling using the lib

Public bug reported:

Issue with GCC>6 and cppunit 1.14, see upstream repository issue and
accepted patch:

It is quite easy to fix it by hand on every system, but it would be nice
to just have it fixed here.
