Seeing segfaults in grep too:
checking dependency style of gcc... ./configure: line 3918: 25741 Segmentation fault (core dumped) grep sub/conftst1.h sub/conftest.Po > /dev/null 2>&1
./configure: line 3918: 25779 Segmentation fault (core dumped) grep sub/conftst1.h sub/conftest.Po > /dev/null 2>&1
./configure: line 3918: 26055 Segmentation fault (core dumped) grep sub/conftst1.h sub/conftest.Po > /dev/null 2>&1
./configure: line 3918: 26193 Segmentation fault (core dumped) grep sub/conftst1.h sub/conftest.Po > /dev/null 2>&1

Bug description:
When building fwts 19.07.00 in a VM or a chroot on Xenial ppc64el, I'm
seeing segfaults in awk:
./configure: line 10171: 15840 Done $LD --help 2>&1
15842 Segmentation fault (core dumped) | $EGREP ': supported targets:.* elf' > /dev/null
awk: cmd. line:1: (FILENAME=- FNR=1) fatal error: internal error:
segfault
I've also seen segfaults in grep, so I think this may be a recent
dependency change.
