Title:
Aptitude reports "Downloaded 0 bytes in [time] (0 b/s)"
Status in aptitude package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Steps to reproduce:
Start aptitude.
Select a package to install. The settings for Aptitude are as follows:
Show download progress in status bar
Do not auto-select recommends
Select a package to install. Press G to head to the preview screen.
Select some recommends to install. Press G to start downloading.
The status bar for download progress will show up and show correct
information. All good.
After the download completes, a box will pop up, stating "Downloaded 0
bytes in [time] (0 b/s)" where [time] is correct, but the filesizes
are not. You will see that the download size is 0.
Note: This is in Virtualbox, using the alternate CD of 12.04.1. This
is probably too minor to be SRUd but it's still a small
problem/papercut to me. Virtualbox uses NAT.
Another note: The download speed is properly shown in progress.
