Status in vim package in Debian:

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: vim

The Vim 7.2.245 installed from Ubuntu 9.10 packages does include
cmake.vim syntax file which is very old.

  Date: $Date: 2006/09/23 21:09:08 $
  Version: $Revision: 1.6 $

However, current version available at http://www.cmake.org/CMakeDocs
/cmake-syntax.vim is four revisions and two years ahead.

  Date: $Date: 2008-08-25 14:31:28 $
  Version: $Revision: 1.10 $

I believe it's relevant to update cmake.vim in the Vim package.

By the way, the same issue applices to $VIMFILES/indent/cmake.vim New
  version is available at http://www.cmake.org/CMakeDocs/cmake-
  indent.vim
