Public bug reported:

Finally got the installer to read my HDD in my Acer Aspire A515-51. Once
this was accomplished I proceeded with the install of Ubuntu and it gave
me an error stating that the Grub EFI boot loader failed to install on
the disk. Is this due to the EFI file not being in the "trusted" section
in the BIOS?
