Next GRUB 2 release will include F2FS support. The change is so simple
it could be easily backported:

What remains is creating partman-f2fs and moving f2fs-* packages from universe to main.

Bug description:
F2FS missing in Ubiquity "Use as" partition option, in the manual
installation.
Gparted can format for F2FS (if f2fs-tools is installed), but you
can't install ubuntu on a F2FS partition for example.
