Title:
NFSv2 has been disabled, turning it back on is not obvious
Status in nfs-utils package in Ubuntu:
Confirmed
Bug description:
In 17.10 NFSv2 has been disabled by default, existing stuff (in my
case embedded hardware development systems based on uboot) continue to
use the old NFS protocols ...
This thread describes the issue, and the solution:
https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2381512
This bug is a request for documentation so the next person doesn't waste a day hunting this problem down, please:
- document in /etc/default/nfs-kernel-server how to enable NFSv2
protocols
- make a note in the "man nfs" pages noting that NFSv2 is disabled by
default and that instructions on how to enable it can be found in
/etc/default/nfs-kernel-server
