Public bug reported:
Say, I have linux-generic-hwe-18.04 and linux-generic installed.
Software Updater may remove linux-image-4.15.0-47-generic even if
manually installed linux-generic depends on it (recursively).
$ apt-cache rdepends --important --installed --recurse linux-image-4.15.0-47-generic
linux-image-4.15.0-47-generic
Reverse Depends:
linux-image-generic
|linux-modules-extra-4.15.0-47-generic
linux-image-generic
Reverse Depends:
linux-generic
linux-generic
linux-generic
linux-modules-extra-4.15.0-47-generic
Reverse Depends:
linux-image-generic
linux-generic
Reverse Depends:
$ apt-mark showmanual linux-generic
linux-generic
I think it should at least disable removing such a kernel by default.
