Public bug reported:
Installation is nearly finished and then for some reason the installer
tries to access the optical drive to load extra files and fails. Well of
course, I'm installing from the USB Flash Drive and there is no disc in
the drive. This has left me stuck with the live version.
1.) lsb_release -rd: Ubuntu 18.04 LTS
2.) apt-cache policy ubiquity:
ubiquity:
Installed: 18.04.14
Candidate: 18.04.14.8
Version table:
18.04.14.8 500

*** 18.04.14 500
500 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu bionic/main amd64 Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
3.) EXPECTATION: I expected the installer to complete successfully.
4.) WHAT HAPPENED: The installer crashed just before the end, when it tried to access the optical drive, despite installing from a USB flash drive.
