When reading some of the other reports, they appear to involve
installation on/to an USB-drive, not from a USB to a harddrive.
Any way, being new to ubuntu I solved it by booting from a live usb and
download / install GRUB from scratch.
Also, being new, I might not have understood the other reports proper.
But upp and rnning so alls well for me.
