  cryptsetup attempts to get cannonical name of devices that have none

Status in cryptsetup package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete
Status in cryptsetup package in Debian:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  In particuar, when cryptsetup tries to get the cannonical name of a
  swap partition, and fails.

  NOTE: This error is not only a problem wiith ubuntu:
  http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=671056

  ocurred on: upgrade from 12.04 to 12.10 with:

  cryptsetup:
    Installed: 2:1.4.3-2ubuntu1
    Candidate: 2:1.4.3-2ubuntu1
    Version table:
   *** 2:1.4.3-2ubuntu1 0
          500 http://ca.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ quantal/main i386 Packages
          100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

  This error will occur every time  a program of the user calls update-
  initramfs, which in turn calls cryptsetup

  Technical error: 
  cryptsetup: WARNING: Failed to get cannonical name of /dev/sda#
  (Where # is partition number)
