Title:
Ubuntu server 8.10 amd64 CD installer stops after copying data
Status in debian-installer package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
I've downloaded ubuntu server 8.10 amd64 CD. Checksums are OK.
I've chosen Polish language and tried to install ubuntu in following
way:
1. Static network configuration (with gateway outside my class).
2. HDD partitioned using wizard, BUT when it suggests partitioning scheme, I hadn't agreed, and I've changed / filesystem from ext3 to reiserfs - all rest was unchanged.
Installation copies data successfully and stops at the dialog
"Gathering data for installation report" (or something like that, I
don't know exact english translation). It asks about intrepid CD in
/cdrom - it's mounted correctly, and when I want him to retry it even
don't move CD in the drive, immediately display this dialog again.
Please let me know how can I find more information. I have 1 more day
at this machine until I install there ubuntu 8.04 (later I can try
only under vmware).
