This looks like the source of the trouble:

Subsystem 'sftp' already defined.

  On boot, got this error. Not expecting any magic solutions. Previous
  to this error, I updated python3 somewhat, and installed a package
  (pyseqlogo) that I moved around as I was figuring out where it should
  go.
