Ubuntu installation crashes during installation of Grub2

Bug description:
I am trying to install Ubuntu 18.04. The installation goes smooth on a
6th generation Core I5 machine with 8GB RAM till the time of Grub2
install. Once Grub2 install starts, the installation crashes. This
same thing happened with me with Pre-release of Ubuntu 18.04. I am
using bootable USB drive using Rufus.
