Public bug reported:
Installed from DVD.
( I did not see any option for "expert" Install to continue with boot repair.)
I had previously used a standalone boot of GPARTED to make Linux
partitions for /, swap, and /home.
I selected the "Do something different" at the disk configuration are of
install.
I chose to format / and /home and use them as ext2. swap was, well,
swap.
/dev/sda was selected as the boot area
May have missed something as we went out for dinner after setting the
disk.
Also Unable to boot 18.04 from USB made with "liLi" on a windows system with the same 18.04 iso file.
(that is, the USB failed to boot - to do the install.)
Other problems a bot similar - BUT not for 18.04.
Thanks!
Jane & Jay
