If it isn't os-prober that hung, then I'll have to look up the next step
the installer takes.  Or you might see some other program in ps that is
hung and the installer is waiting on.

  18.04 install stuck on grub install

Status in os-prober package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  Installation freezes on grub install at 66%. syslog shows grub-install
  ran successfully, then seems to have actually gotten stuck in the next
  step (osprober). Photo attached, sorry for the terrible quality from
  HTC.
