Your disk is currently partitioned to boot in bios mode, but you booted
the installer in EFI mode. You either need to boot the installer in bios
mode, or partition the disk using GPT and set up an EFI system partition
to install in EFI mode. This will be done for you if you choose the "use
entire disk" guided install option.

** Changed in: grub-installer (Ubuntu)
       Status: New => Invalid

Title:
  grub boot loader didn't installed on my Lenovo G40-70

Status in grub-installer package in Ubuntu:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  I was trying to install ubuntu 18.04 on my lenovo G40-70.
  I wanted to install two OS parallelly. So, first I installed Windows 8 on a partition and then tried ubuntu in another partition. Installation started but in some time a dialogue box appeared 'GRUB Installation failed' which says, "The 'grub-efi-amd64-signed' package failed to install into /target/. Without the GRUB boot loader, the installed system will not boot. Then crash reporter appeared and I am doing this. Please help!
