Public bug reported:

Trying to install Ubuntu 16.04 and during the time grub is being
installed, receive error "Executing 'grub-install /dev/sda' failed". I
have tried many of the solutions on-line (askubuntu, ubuntu wiki, etc.)
and have not been able to get around the problem. Event tried to install
18.04, but installer freezes as it's trying to do a grub-mount.

I have a HP Pavilion 15-cc055od Intel Core i7-7500U 2.7 GHz that is
already running Windows 10 Home (trying to set it up for dual boot); 8GB
Ram 1TB disk

Please advise...
