Ubuntu 18.04.1 network install fails via proxy server.
1> Server planned for install is on private network
2> the Peer server has INTERNET access and squid proxy server is created.
3> During netinstall, the http proxy was given in the format <serverip>:<squid proxy>
attaching /var/log/syslog of the installer and
/var/log/squid/access.log of the server.

Please note this scenario was never tested in current / previous Ubuntu installations by test team.. may be we need Canonical's expertise here and see what configs are meant to be set in the installer / squid server.. Hence we can not consider this issue reported as regression.

Hi Naveed,
From the install logs, INFO: Menu item 'download-installer' selected
--> I see that the packages are downloaded directly from the URL and
do not use proxy server to download installer. That is why we see all
the .udeb packages getting downloaded successfully.

But once the base-installer comes up, the proxy is trying to be used. Hence the failures in downlaoding the linux-* files. I can see this to be a configuration issue where the format in which the proxy was mentioned is not right.
